The Grand Palace is the largest and most luxurious theater in Branson. Resembling an antebellum mansion, the Grand Palace has been the showcase for such superstars as Dino Kartsonakis, Kenny Rogers, Lorrie Morgan and VinceGill to name a few. The Grand Palace is also known as the second home of the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes whose Christmas show is a much awaited for treat every year. Their special two-week appearance is a highlight of the Branson holiday season.
Dino Kartsonakis is the featured entertainer at the Grand Palace. His show incorporates incredible sets, costumes and music. Included in his show are a cast of 24 dancers performing authentic Irish Step Dancing.
Theater: A $13 million showplace. The grandeur is obvious in the appointments and decor throughout the building, especially the grand staircase and chandelier in the lobby. The size and height of the stage and ceiling allow for elaborate scenery changes and special effects. Sound and light systems are state of the art.
Seating: The 4,000 theater seats are wide with good support and plenty of leg room. The balcony is designed so that no seat is more than 120 feet from the stage. Shows face front, so for a good view it would be best to avoid the very back outside corner seats.
Best views: Downstairs - halfway back. Upstairs - the front ten rows.
Handicap access: Excellent, however, there is no elevator so wheelchair visitors must have tickets for downstairs. Headsets available for the hearing impaired.
Features: Extra rest rooms for the ladies. Variety of concession stands in both up and downstairs lobbies.
Show: Headliners are constantly changing, call ahead for show times and scheduled star.
Tickets: Unlike most of the shows in Branson, ticket prices vary by artist, season, and seat preference.
Parking tip: Lot behind the building slopes. Flat surface parking in front or in the shopping center next door.
Location: In the center of the Strip on W. SR 76.
