The Remington Theater, one of Branson's most "fantastic" buildings, is so named because of the Frederick Remington sculptures adorning the lobby. The Remington Theater is the home of the theatrical production, Branson City All Star Review.
As part of the Summer Family Fun Fest, the Remington Theatre Complex is home to a petting zoo called the "Remington Ranch." Children of all ages have the opportunity to play with, pet, and feed various cute baby farm animals.
For the 1999 season, Tony Melendez' morning show, "A Gift of Hope", is inspirational music filled with hope. Joining Tony, as a regular in the show, is the popular local favorite Red Neckers (Keith Allen).
Worship Service - 10:00 am every Sunday - "Heavenly Lights Family Gathering" led by Reverend Dave Hamner and his wife Denise. Hamner and Denise are featured magicians with the "Branson City All Star Revue". Teaming with Dave will be Wes Neil. Neil has appeared on the 700 Club and Ministered for seven years with the Campus Crusade for Christ. The service is free.
Branson Convention Center
The owner of the Remington Theatre Complex, John Connelly, announced that he is building a convention center in Branson. Located beside the Remington Theatre, the center will feature a 420 x 240 foot exhibit hall. The building will be completed in the year 2000. Part of the complex is an ice rink that opened on Nov. 1,1998. The skaters from the Branson City Lights All Star Revue will be teaching skating classes.
Theater: It's history - opened in the early 90s as The Five Star Theater, then it was leased to Wayne Newton. After Wayne left, it was remodeled and reopened as The Remington. The building is two stories with wings on both ends and a gilded roof and cupola. The sound and lighting in the theater are excellent.
Show: The show is fast-paced and appeals to all ages. A cast of 40, $2 million in costumes, largest stage ice-skating rink in America. Beginning with a musical tribute to the early Branson performers, the show moves to classic Hollywood, Las Vegas and Broadway music. Besides plenty of singing and dancing are variety acts and skating routines.
Branson All Star Revue
An incredibly fast-paced, action-packed variety show. Branson
City All Star Revue shines with full scale production numbers with spectacular
sets and lights, dazzling choreography and costumes, impressive magic,
fire and ice juggling, daring stunts, magnificent skating and the incredible
vocal talents of the entire cast.
Seating: 2,700 comfortable seats with good leg room.
Handicap access: Very good.
