Shepherd of the Hills is situated on a high hill, Inspiration Point, overlooking Mutton Hollow and the rolling Ozark hills that are described in the country's first million selling novel, Harold Bell Wright's, "The Shepherd of the Hills".
Cruisin' Branson Lights
August 12 thru August 15, 1999, "Cruisin' Branson Lights" automotive extravaganza is in its 5th season. Beginning back in 1995 with 300 units, the event has grown to an anticipated 1200 units this season.
Highlights of this years event will be the Midnight Parade of these Classic Cars. The cars will be cruisin' down Highway 76 on the night of the 14th. Performing on Friday and Saturday nights (13th and 14th) at Shepherd of the Hills, will be the fabulous Hubcaps.
Shepherd of the Hills Play
The Shepherd of the Hills outdoor pageant, based on the best selling
novel, involves 80 actors, 25 horses, 3 buggies, and 4 wagons. The show
is unlike any other in Branson. It combines drama, intrigue, humor,
romance, action and music. It incorporates the history and heritage of
turn-of-the-century Branson. Amphitheater seating.
The Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Theatre, located in the Shepherd of the Hills Holmstead, features America's longest running outdoor drama.
Ronnie Prophet Show
This is the place to be if you enjoy country classics, hilarious comedy,
guitar instrumentals, and hand-clappin' gospel music. Ronnie's breakfast
show features the comedy of Bessie Bugg, Grand Old Opry guitar player,
Ray Wix, and the vocalizing of Ronnie and his talented wife, Glory-Anne.
Ronnie and Glory-Anne greet everyone before and after the show. A full
breakfast buffet is available.
Location: 3 miles west of Branson on the center of the Strip on W. SR 76 and Francis Street.
