HISTORY

The Observatory along with the smaller venue "Constellation Room" opened in November 2011 under new ownership. New ownership is Jon Reiser, Courtney Michaelis and a silent partner.  The renovations include new sound system, new flooring, recover the booths, remove most of the tables that line the main theater.

The Galaxy Concert Theatre re-opened in 2009 under Gary Folgner.

The Galaxy Concert Theatre closed after a 13-year run with the final night 23 February 2008 according to an article in the Orange County Register. The 550 seat Galaxy Concert Theatre opened in 1994. Folgner also owns The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano which he opened in 1980. The Galaxy Concert Theatre was owned by Gary Folgner. See article in the Orange County Register.

The Galaxy Concert Theatre also had another venue - Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, California.

From the south, take 405 (San Diego Freeway) north and exit at Harbor Blvd. Turn right on to Harbor. Continue on Harbor about 0.5 miles. Right on to Lake Center Drive. The venue is a few hundred feet further on the left.

Notes: Parking in adjacent lot at no charge. Box office hours 10:00 - 6:00 Mon-Sat. Tickets also available through ticketmaster.
