Effective Monday, 31 January 2011 - The Grove of Anaheim changes it's name to the City National Grove of Anaheim. Most of the estimated $1.25 million 5-year deal will go to Nederlander Concerts, which manages, operates and books the performaces.

Tuesday 24 September 2002 - The Anaheim City Council voted today to agree to buy The Grove of Anaheim for $6.7 million.
December 2001 - The Sun Theatre changes it's name to the Grove of Anaheim on 13 December 2001.

The Grove of Anaheim is an intimate upscale theater venue with top name entertainment in Orange County.

Information

The Grove of Anaheim's capacity is 500 to 2,500 depending on the configuration with no seat further than 85 feet from the stage. The Grove of Anaheim may be configured for Banquet style, dinner style, theater style, cocktail style round, or open standing depending upon the event. Some events may have a combination of seating styles in different sections.

The 40,000 square foot design has a "movie-studio soundstage" architectural profile and environment which provides The Grove of Anaheim with full production, multimedia and video facilities including two giant video screens on either side of the stage.

Dining
Special dishes and menu choices will be created for each event.

Location
On the northwest quadrant of Edison International Field of Anaheim, a short distance from the Pond and less than a mile from Disneyland. On the south side of East Katella Avenue just west of the 57 Freeway.

Owner
SMG is the Grove's parent company. SMG is a closely held joint venture company with two equal principals: Hyatt and ARAMARK. Based in Philadelphia, SMG manages more than 125 venues in North America and Europe. SFX is the biggest single promoter at The Grove of Anaheim.
