In "Life", the movie, the story follows two lives actually two lifers over several decades including the 1932 depression times in Mississippi. One of the two people is the con man Ray Gibson and the second person is the banker Martin Lawrence. The two get together to drive to Mississippi to get some bootlegged whiskey to pay off a debt. The two men get sentenced for a death that they did not commit. The story shows their life together in prison as lifers.
