. | Bill Pullman, an actor who has been working for years, was finally
noticed when he starred in "While You Were Sleeping" and "Independence
Day".
Pullman was going to be a builder, after high school he enrolled in a technical school in New York to learn the trade. To help him to overcome his shyness, the drama teacher cast him in a play. That was the end of his building plans. He didn't start his acting career until he got his B.A. in theatre arts, did graduate work at U. Mass and then taught drama at Montana State. He taught for two years, then decided it was time to pursue acting. After off-Broadway roles, Pullman moved to LA to try his luck. His film debut was in "Ruthless People". Some of his better films were "The Accidental Tourist", "Sleepless in Seattle" and "Sommersby". Bill Pullman has his own production company, Big Town, in addition to lots of movie offers coming in.
