Gillian Anderson is starring as the female FBI agent in the popular
TV series, "The X-Files".
Gillian lived in London until she was a teen when her family moved to
Michigan. She was a rebellious teen, but had an interest in acting, it
was her outlet. She performed in community theater and studied drama at
DePaul University in Chicago. After graduation she moved to New York where
she performed off-Broadway and, of course, waitressed. After a few stage
roles, Gillian left for Hollywood.
After passing up many television auditions, Gillian gave in and auditioned
for the pilot of "The X-Files". The rest is history. Gillian plays
F.B.I. agent Dana Scully in the popular series. This award-winning actress
is now making feature films and is also enjoying her new role as Mommy.
