Jennifer Sings - Jennifer Love Hewitt will
be singing, "How Do I Deal" the first single to be released from the "I
Still Know What You Did Last Summer" soundtrack. She finished filming the
music video just before Halloween. If the song is a hit, Jennifer may just
be rewarded with her own recording contract.
Po5 Spin-off - Jennifer will be starring
in her own spin off of "Party of Five" expected to air in the fall of 1999.
The premise is that the adopted Sarah (played by Jennifer) goes on a search
for her biological mother. Not wanting to duplicate Po5, the spin-off is
expected to have a lighter tone. Producers would like a crossing of the
two shows from time to time. Jennifer's fans are eagerly looking forward
to the new show.
TV Movie - Hewitt cast as Audrey Hepburn.
Jennifer will portray the late Audrey Hepburn in a two-hour ABC movie being
developed for the next season. Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Marsha
Norman ("Getting Out," "'Night, Mother") is writing the script for the
still-untitled biography. Produced by Greenwald Entertainment, executive
producers Robert Greenwald and Kimberly Rubin.
New Film - Jennifer is reported to be in
discussions to join Kate Capshaw and Ellen Degeneres in the cast of "The
Love Letter" for DreamWorks SKG. Shooting to begin in August. Hewitt
will play a coworker of Capshaw's character, who is trying to find the
writer of an anonymous love letter. As reported in the 30 June - 6 July
issue weekly Hollywood Reporter.
Next Release - Jennifer will be starring
in the upcoming "I
Still Know What You Did Last Summer" opening November 1998
from Sony Pictures.
Background - Love started out as a dancer
and moved on to commercials. The commercials led to a part in a children's
TV show, "Kids Incorporated" where she played a singer and actress.
After leaving the show, Love concentrated on her singing and released an
album in Japan.
Returning to TV, Love landed roles in "Byrds of Paradise", "McKenna",
and "Shaky Ground". None were long lasting. But their absence
left the door open for Love to win her present role in "Party of Five".
Jennifer, not one to stand still, has also made her mark on the big
screen. She has appeared in movies since 1992, the most famous and
biggest hit, "I Know What You Did Last Summer".
Family - Jennifer lives with her best friend,
her mother, Pat Hewitt. She also shares her space with her cats,
Don Juan and Haylie.
