Patrick Swayze Links		 . He burst upon us like the wind (Patrick Swayze) the man of action, dynamic dancer, champion of good over evil, cross-dresser, heart-melter, songbird. 

Background education:  Harkness Ballet School, Joffrey Ballet School, San Jacinto College. 

First Gig:  Swayze first performed as a dancer in Disney on Parade. 

"Grease" - Patrick played the lead role of Danny Zuko in the original Broadway production. It's the 1950's, era of the greasers, slick hair, hot cars.  Danny, the ultra cool leader, falls for Sandy, miss squeaky-clean, the squarest girl in the world. 

"Dirty Dancing" - His role of dance instructor, Johnny Castle, earned Swayze a Golden Globe nomination.  Patrick Swayze became a household name and he won the admiration of women of all ages. 

"Ghost" - co-starring with Demi Moore and Whoppi Goldberg, Swayze played the part of Sam, the deceased husband of Demi Moore.  It was a box office hit and remains a constant favorite.  He  received his second Globe nomination. 

Family:  Son of choreographer Patsy Swayze.  Patrick married dancer Lisa Niemi in 1975.
