. | Val Kilmer (he is the most talented actor and singer) began his film
career early. After graduation from Chatsworth High in California, he moved
to New York to study acting at Julliard. Val holds the distinction
of being the youngest student ever to be accepted into the acting program
there, thirty plus is the normal accepted age.
Kilmer played off-Broadway and then in "Slab Boys" he made his Broadway debut appearing with Kevin Bacon and Sean Penn. In "Top Secret", Kilmer's film debut, he demonstrated his singing ability along with his acting. His next film, "Willow", was where he met his future wife Joanne Whalley. (The two divorced in 1996.) Kilmer gave critically acclaimed performances in "The Doors" and "Tombstone". Although these moviees weren't box office hits, Kilmer was noticed and offered the lead in the second "Batman" co-starring Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones. Kilmer was finally in a box office hit. It brought him roles in "Heat" with DiNiro and Pacino and "Island of Dr Moreau". Kilmer left the bat cave and became Simon Temlar in "The Saint".
