The Marriott Wardman Park is the largest convention and business hotel in the Nation's Capital.  The 80-year old hotel is nestled in a park-like setting on 16 lush acres in Northwest Washington.

General:  The Marriott Wardman Park originally opened in 1918 as the 1000-room Wardman Park Hotel.  In 1928 the East Wing annex was opened (now known as Wardman Tower).  In 1953 the Sheraton Corporation purchased the property and renamed it the Sheraton Park Hotel.  There was an addition in 1964, the Park Tower.  In 1980 the Wardman Tower, Park Tower and Center Tower were connected and the hotel became the Sheraton Washington Hotel.  In 1998 Marriott acquired the property and it became the Marriott Wardman Park.
